Step 1: Access your Studies Home Page
Firstly, log in to your Outset account. You will be redirected to your account page. This is where you can manage all your ongoing and past studies.
Step 2: Initiate a New Interview
On the dashboard page, click on the button titled "New study" in the upper right-hand corner.
You will then be prompted to enter a name for your study. After clicking "submit," you will be prompted to select one of five interview methods. After you make a selection, you can go ahead and start writing your questions.
You can select a different option later, if you need to.
Step 3: Fill Out the General Information
Now that you're on the main interview screen, you can begin filling in the general information for the interview. You can learn more about that in our Creating an Interview Guide article.
Step 4: Set Up Interview Questions
The last step in creating your new interview involves filling out the questions that will be asked during the interview. This step is important, as the quality of your results largely depends on the questions you ask. Make sure to take your time and think carefully about the kind of information you want to extract from the interview.
You will also have some options to guide the AI through the interview, which you can learn more about in our Interview Guide Questions article.
Once you've filled out your questions, review everything to ensure it's correct and will yield the desired results. You can run tests in the "Recruit" tab to make sure everything will run smoothly. You can learn more about that in our Instructions for AI article.
When you're happy with your setup, click on the "Save" or "Start" button to finalize the process. Your interview is now ready!
Remember, if you need to make any changes, you can always edit your interview settings later.
That's it! You have successfully created an interview using the Outset platform. Now, you can sit back and let the AI work its magic, bringing you deep insights and valuable information from your interviewees. Happy researching!
